The first thing our kids saw when pulling into Hot Springs National Park KOA Holiday were the giant fishing pond and the swimming pool. We definitely appreciated these aquatic amenities after adventuring each day. The dense trees surrounding the park provide a wonderful sense of privacy and, coupled with the rolling hills the grounds are on, give the whole campground a wilderness feel. The dog park was a little far from our site of our geezbrador’s liking, but he enjoyed laying in the grass while the kids played on the old school equipment. We also kept our eyes peeled on every walk for interesting bugs, leaves and flowers!

- Unique sculptures around the park
- Lots of bugs (which could be a con if if you’re not as into that sort of thing as we are:))
- Close proximity to Hot Springs National Park and Magic Springs Amusement Park
- Nice flat pads
- Variety of accommodation styles (tent, RV, cabins)
- Hilly landscape made large park feel small and secluded.
Cons
- Steep grade on entry. There were lots of scrapes on the pavement and the camper entering ahead of us was stuck. Enter from the SW (town side) and you’ll be fine.
- Campground was a little tight so maneuvering very large rigs might be a little touchy.
- Ticks (not their fault, it is the south)
- Mini golf was closed
